Happy to hear the International will return next year
would have been nice to see the top 3 yo Mystic Park in this race, but he
scratched sick after a bout of colic and fever.
So emmotionnal... Ideal du Gazeau, one the best French Trotters, ever. With
Roquepine, Une de mai, Bellino II... and the Great "lazy King" Ourasi !
NASTY 60 FOR 99
The great French trotters always ran outside as they emphasized both
stamina and speed. That's how the great Une de Mai beat Nevele Pride, ran
outside of him and never gave him a breather.
And you are admitting it? You must have picked up the tab.
yes,,,i also bet him that night. Yhe French trotters were amazing in those
years...Roquepine, Une De Mai, Reve Dudon, Jorky. They could race outside
Quel crack! Une pure merveille! Je n'avais jamais pu voir cette vidéo
auparavant. Merci pour cette course d'anthologie.
Parked all five turns at 9-2, he wins. I had $50 on him.
Having Lunch with the famous Track Announcer Jack E Lee this week.
@AAMCO1770 jack sadly left us this year RIP
Actually he won the following year as well. Both times in front running
style.........Those were good days. Harness racing is pretty much dead
right now and only slot machines have kept the game alive this long.
THE GREAT FRENCH HORSE WON IT 2 YEARS IN A ROW AND GO ON AND WIN IT A THIRD
YEAR YOU HAVE TOO ADMIRE THE FRENCH TROTTERS THEY ARE ONE OF THE BEST IN
THE WORLD ALONG WITH GERMANY AND SWEEDEN
Worst harness driver ever and the horse still wins. He did come out under
the American horse though
we had a horse our home track had try nominate back in 1982 named RICK
COATOWN BUT the boss was battling cancer so we did not go in some ways it
would been a very exciting time but our duties of our mind said we better
stay home and watch the race on tv witch was done well
Hello, In watching this race, Ideal du Gazeau is parked for the entire race
and wins going away - WOW! It's always fun to rewatch the great ones!
@97LinnZy hes mytrotter granddaddy too! :D Mines called Blades of Glory hes
on here ;)
The question has to be asked: If Spice Island had not lost a shoe at the
start (why he broke then and probably why he broke again on the turn) and
Nino Blazing had not broke, would Ideal still have won this? The fractions
in this and Ideal's 1983 win were what C-2 trotters (the lowest level at
RR) were going to the mile. Lets see Ideal parked five turns to 1:59 like
Reve du'On was in 1990 on that horse's way to setting a then-world record
2:28 4/5 for 1 1/4 Miles.
ideal du gazeau is my horse grandpahes name is brandklipparen
Ideal du Gazeau is the father of my horse *proud* But my horse doesn't
